Japanese National Museum 10-26-06

1.)What did you like most about the Japanese National Museum?

I really liked the Tiko drums, because I love music and I thought it was cool how they pay respect to the drums and how they make them.

2.)Name one new thing you learned?

I learned the name of the only non-Japanese person tobe put into the camps, Ralph Lazo.

3.)What did you learn about the Japanese American Experience?

I learned that Japanese people have gone throught a lot in the past and it was no walk in the park.

Pay it Forward #4

1) What is the theme of this movie? What message do you think this movie is trying to convey?
I think the theme of this movie is do good things to others, and good things happen....but the kid dies, so maybe not. The world is S*** so when you do good kind things to others it just makes the world a little less like S***
2) Which character do you find the most interesting? Why?
I like the little kid (lots of people probably think hes interesting) but I think he is because hes such a little person and he did all this good stuff when he thought he couldn't.
I also like the black guy, he was just really funny!
3) If you were to write the movie script for Pay It Forward, Part 2, what kinds of characters would you have in the movie? What would you have them do to "Pay It Forward?"
I would have sorta the same characters but like (not the little kid, hes dead) but he would be w/ them....on the mantlle (that doesn't sound right, sorry). I think they would like bring "Pay it Forward" all the way to London and Bali and places like that....

I. Do you think this activity had any effect on how the 9th graders treated each other in the past week? Why or why not?
Yes, because if we didn't do this activity then people wouldn't get to know new people. So, it's good that some people because then you have lots of friends to hang out with.

ii. What do you think would happen if this activity involved the 10th and 11th graders?
Well, it would be really difficult because not a lot of kids hang out with the 10th and 11th graders. So, I think it would be harder.

iii. What do you think would happen if we continued this activity for the rest of the year?
People would have new really good friends. LOL. It could be cool.....

Pay if Forward #2

I think Jose (computer #2) I think it's him because well he never really talked to me well he did but like not a lot. He helped me on my commercial a lot. So that's how I think it is.

Pay it Forward 10-12-06

This activity was difficult because I never really talked to this person so yeah. Well, what I did for my "chosen" one this past week was:
  1. I e-mailed them to get to know them more. (they are really nice by the way)
  2. I helped them on the commercial.
  3. Let's see.....I talked to them outside of class.

I think that was it. Not a lot but I did do something nice. I think I'm going to stay friends with these person. LOL! I had fun.

Do Now 10-6-06

"You know how to skate?" Yes, I do. I may not be Tony Hawk good but you know I do know how to move my leg back and forth to push myself forward. I may not know how to do any tricks. I'm not trying to be anyone I'm not.Cuz this is what I like. It's fun.

Sometimes I take my dog with me and he will ride in the front. It's really funny.

But so I can clear everything up, yes I know how to skate.
